MISPRONOUNCED is a Copenhagen-based choreographic duo founded by Helena Alves (PT) and Mar Espona (CAT). They met at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School, where they discovered a shared creative language as dancers and choreographers.
Their work brings together dance and theatre through humour, simple concepts, and clear storytelling. They create playful, relatable worlds that explore the unspoken rules and everyday challenges of being human — love, ageing, relationships, and everything in between.
Founded in 2025, MISPRONOUNCED is a space for their ongoing research into movement and choreography, where they explore their shared curiosity, connection, and excitement for creating.
